i've been goth 4 like 2 years now & its honestly the best decision ive ever made. theres something so beautiful about embracing the darkness instead of running from it, u know? like, emo & goth ppl get so much hate but we're just trying 2 express the REAL emotions that everyone 4ks about. i love my black lipstick, i love the dark aesthetic, & i love connecting w/ ppl who actually GET IT.
poetry is like... my way of processing the world. when im sad or happy or confused or just feeling some weird existential thing, i write. ive been writing poetry since i was like 12 & it saved my life honestly. theres smth about putting ur deepest thoughts into words & making them beautiful that just... heals u, i guess? plus vintage horror movies r literally the most amazing thing ever made. the way old directors could create genuine fear & atmosphere w/o needing all the CGI... its ART.
i spend most of my time either reading gothic literature, watching classic horror films (nosferatu, the cabinet of dr caligari, the creature from the black lagoon... *swoons*), or doing my makeup. my black lipstick collection is getting out of control lol but each shade has its own personality. some r more blue-toned (NARS makes the BEST ones), some r softer for when im feeling artistic, & some r just pure black if ur gonna go dark go ALL THE WAY!!! my friends think im weird but theyre all obsessed w/ how my makeup turns out when i spend like 2 hours on it lol.
things i love: edgar allan poe, bela lugosi, the midnight hour, black roses, graveyards (theyre so peaceful fr), old books that smell like secrets, tea @ midnight, moon gazing, cryptic conversations, the color of dried blood, rain on my window, handwritten letters, silver rings, candlelight, the occult (just curious!!!), & anyone who actually listens when u talk
things i hate: fake ppl, daylight (jk... kinda), cheerfulness b4 noon, judgemental ppl, bad spelling, superficiality, pink & sparkly things (ironically), & when ppl make fun of goth culture

!!!THIS IS AMAZING!!! ok so if u havent figured it out yet, im OBSESSED w/ old horror films. like, theres smth so perfect about black & white horror movies that makes them 1000x scarier than modern stuff. the cinematography, the atmosphere, the genuine sense of DREAD... its peak cinema honestly.

my dream is 2 watch every horror film ever made b4 i die lol. ive been keeping a list & im up 2 like 187 films now!!! my mom thinks im weird 4 loving scary stuff but shes the 1 who raised me on THE CROW (1994 isnt technically vintage but its still 2 good not 2 mention) & tim burton movies so really its HER fault that i have good taste lol
Fun Horror Facts:
- Bela Lugosi actually asked 2 b buried in his dracula cape!! so goth even in death lol
- Nosferatu was technically an unauthorized Dracula adaptation & they had 2 destroy all the prints but obvi some survived & its a masterpiece
- The Creature from the Black Lagoon suit was SO uncomfortable but the actor still did an amazing job
- silent horror films r actually scarier than talkie horror films bc ur brain fills in the sounds & its way worse

my makeup routine is literally AN ART FORM. i take like 45 minutes 2 do my full goth makeup including black lipstick, dark eyeshadow, eyeliner that could cut glass, & my perfect goth line (thats the line between ur makeup & ur normal face lol). my mom got SO mad when i told her i wanted 2 wear black lipstick 2 school but it was part of my IDENTITY & she finally got it.
being goth isnt just about the look tho!!! its about having a WORLDVIEW. its about rejecting mainstream beauty standards & celebrating the dark, the different, the REAL. like when other girls r talking about lip gloss & i bring up bela lugosi they think im weird but im the 1 w/ actual taste & culture lol (jk... not really jk). its about finding beauty in sadness, darkness in light, & meaning in melancholy.

OMG FINALLY updated my site again!!! ive been so busy w/ school & feeling all the autumn melancholy that i didnt have time 2 code. added the Lipstick Obsession section bc i literally cannot stop talking about it lol. also added way more poems!! some r really sad bc halloween got me feeling all existential abt mortality & the passage of time n stuff. btw if anyone knows good black lipstick brands plz sign my guestbook 4 recommendations!!

just finished watching The Haunting 4 like the 5th time & cried actual tears. added it 2 the horror shrine section. also fixed all the broken image links that were bugging me 4ever lol. my site is getting 2 look SO GOOD & im lowkey obsessed w/ it now!! started a new poem today called "Autumn Darkness" abt how fall is literally the best season 4 goths bc everythings dying & its beautiful??? does that make sense??? whatever im keeping it
